Q1 2025 Analytics Release Highlights

Updated today

What’s new this quarter:

Introducing the latest Analytics features designed to elevate your business travel insights experience. With these new enhancements, we've made it easier than ever to access the data that matters most, uncover actionable insights, and make informed decisions. Explore what each new feature has to offer below.

Data

Traveler Profile

This worksheet includes traveler data as stored in the profile system. This data is standalone and not linked to transactional data. Data elements are displayed or hidden based on the data protection statement as responded to by the traveler. If a traveler has not explicitly accepted the data protection statement, data fields will display as 'DPS-Declined.' If a traveler has not responded to the data protection statement, data fields will display as 'DPS-No Response.'

The new ‘Traveler Profile Data’ worksheet is an enhanced replacement of the legacy AnalytIQs IQuery Portrait catalog, allowing users to view data from permitted fields within traveler profiles which can be used to check the completeness of profiles or the quality of input data.

Additionally, myCWT web and myCWT mobile usage data is now also included in this worksheet, allowing users to identify where these platforms are being utilized by travelers.

Safety & Security

We have deployed 5 new worksheets to cover a variety of Safety & Security reporting needs.

ISOS:

This ‘ISOS Alerts’ worksheet displays country level alert data from our partner International SOS to inform Analytics users of potential risks to travelers around the world.

Back-office Traveler Tracker and Back-office Traveler Tracker (maps):

These worksheets consolidate transactional data from each country’s local back-office system, plus 3rd party data that has been sent to CWT for the purpose of customer data consolidation.

They contain airline and rail data at the ticket level, hotel bookings, car bookings, and other miscellaneous transactions. The timelines of data vary by issuing country, from daily to monthly, depending on the local back-office configuration. Third party data is provided to CWT monthly and arrives anytime between the 5th and the last day of the following month, depending on the source. This data has gone through validation processes and is best used for historic reporting purposes

The fields in these worksheets have been adapted and added from back-office data in a way that enables users to more easily perform traveler tracing analysis.

Real-time Traveler Tracker and Real-time Traveler Tracker (maps):

These worksheets consolidate transactional data that is sourced directly from the GDS through CBR (CWT Booking Repository). While not coming directly from the GDS, data from China and Japan also flow through CBR. In addition, data for bookings made through other local reservation systems, that has been captured as passive segments in the GDS (Amadeus / Sabre), will also be available in these worksheets.

Only active segments are included and therefore this reflects the current state of the reservation. It contains airline and rail data at the coupon-level, hotel bookings, and car bookings booked through CWT. Data is made available within 2 hours of the booking. This data is best used to report on active or upcoming segments. Coupon can also be known as ‘leg’ or ‘segment’ and is defined for air as a flight from one airport to another under the same flight number, with the same aircraft, and no stops in between.

The fields in these worksheets have been adapted and added from real-time data in a way that enables users to more easily perform traveler tracking analysis.

Integrated Program Messenger notification reporting / enhanced features

This worksheet contains details on messages sent to travelers regarding their air, rail, car, and hotel transactions. It is intended for customers subscribed to CWT's program messaging service. Key travel transaction data fields and message information are included. This enhancement offers customer executives and travel managers comprehensive visibility of notifications from Program Messenger for reporting and data

By integrating reporting into Analytics, it allows tracking of sent notifications and open rates. This provides customers with clearer insights into traveler engagement, facilitating more informed decision-making and improving communication with travelers. We are continuing to enhance our overall reporting capabilities by introducing new, previously unavailable fields. These additions provide valuable insights, empowering travel managers to make more informed decisions and improve overall traveler engagement.

· Seamless Integration – Access notification reporting directly within Analytics for easier analysis.

· Improved Visibility – Track both sent notifications and traveler open rates.

· Better Engagement Insights – Understand traveler interaction with key messages.

Traveler Tracking, Safety & Security Alerts, and Safety & Security Maps

Please note that the below 5 Liveboards as well as the previously published Same Flight/Hotel Liveboards have now fully covered the existing S&S related functionality in legacy AnalytIQs.

Traveler Tracking (Real-time data)

This Liveboard enables users to quickly track traveler locations globally. Note that results include all parts of the relevant trip and not only the parts which fall within the selected date range, except when a 'Flight/Rail #' filter is applied. Based on Real-time data.

Traveler Tracking (Back-office data)

This Liveboard enables users to quickly track traveler locations globally. Note that results include all parts of the relevant trip and not only the parts which fall within the selected date range, except when a 'Flight/Rail #' filter is applied. Based on Back-office data.

Safety & Security Alerts

This Liveboard displays country level alert data from our partner International SOS in order to inform Analytics users of potential risks to travelers around the world.

Safety & Security Map (Real-time data)

This Liveboard is powered by CWT Traveler Tracking and International SOS Health and Security risk data. It contains information about security and medical alerts that can impact travelers around the globe as well as traveler location maps to quickly identify travelers in at risk locations. Based on Real-time data.

Safety & Security Map (Back-office data)

This Liveboard is powered by CWT Traveler Tracking and International SOS Health and Security risk data. It contains information about security and medical alerts that can impact travelers around the globe as well as traveler location maps to quickly identify travelers in at risk locations. Based on Back-office data.

Same Flight/Airport and Same Hotel/City

Same Flight/Airport

This Liveboard is best used to identify instances where there are 'n' or more travelers on the same flight or at the same airport. This is commonly used to identify risks associated with having multiple travelers in the same place. Select the minimum number of travelers with the 'Change #' parameter. Default minimum travelers is 3. Based on Real-time Transactions (coupon).

Same Hotel/City

This Liveboard is best used to identify instances where there are 'n' or more travelers on the same city or at the same hotel. This is commonly used to identify risks associated with having multiple travelers in the same place. Select the minimum number of travelers with the 'Change #' parameter. Default minimum travelers is 3. Based on Back-office Transactions (ticket).

Features

Custom comparison points for KPI charts

Previously, time-series KPI charts had limited options when comparing to past periods. For example, a weekly KPI could be compared against the previous week, the previous month’s same week, the previous quarter’s same week, or the previous year’s same week. Now, you can set a custom point in data against which Analytics compares the most recent data point, any number of weeks ago. This feature is applicable to all KPIs including time keywords like weekly, monthly, or quarterly. Your chosen comparison point persists for all viewers of the KPI.

Gradient-based conditional formatting

You can now choose multiple colors to define a gradient in charts that support gradients — geo heatmap, geo area, heatmap, and treemap charts. You can control the low, mid, and high values, and numerical value points to customize the gradient.

Anomaly-based alerts

You can receive alerts when data of KPIs you are subscribed to fall outside the predicted value range. When creating an alert, you can specify the time and frequency at which Analytics checks the KPI’s data against the values predicted by ML models trained on the data. For example, you can create an alert for a spend weekly KPI and specify that Analytics compare the values every Monday at 5 PM. You may also add individual subscribers to the alert. If the KPI’s data falls outside the predicted range, Analytics sends an alert to your email and, if applicable, your subscribers' emails.

Chart visualization enhancements

We made the following changes to visualizations on Liveboards:

· You can now hover over items in a visualization legend to highlight the data that corresponds to that column.

· You can hover over a truncated legend to see the corresponding column name in a tooltip.

· We improved the readability for the smallest size of Liveboard visualizations. Now, minimum-sized visualizations display only the chart, omitting the x- and y-axes and labels. You can hover over select data points to see the values.

Keywords "of" and "percentage of"

To enable business users to answer questions related to mix, contribution, share of, percentage, and total ratios, we have added the keywords "of" and "percentage of". These keywords help answer questions such as "What is the share of a certain countries spend as a percentage of the regional whole?" Previously, searches such as these required the use of a group aggregate formula, which presented a barrier to users.

To use these keywords, it is helpful to understand what the syntax returns. Spend of region returns the spend at the regional level of detail, while spend percentage of region returns the spend as a percentage of the total region.

You can also use these keywords to suit other use cases, by making the following adjustments:

Specify aggregation type, for example, average spend of region

Specify multiple columns, for example, spend of region and state

Specify the total ratio, for example, spend percentage of all

Reorder parameters in Liveboards and Answers

You can now reorder the parameters in Liveboards and Answers, in the same way that you can reorder filters. When you edit a Liveboard or Answer to reorder the parameters and save your changes, the new order is reflected when anyone opens the Liveboard or Answer.
